Balu

Balu, actually I wanted to call him Churchill. Unfortunately, he was only with me for 7 years. He was much more than just my dog to me. He was a clown, a charmer and stubborn like a donkey. Uncharacteristically for a Shar Pei, he loved every human being.

When I saw him at a dog market in Kunming / Yunnan, it was love at first sight. Since that day we were inseparable. Balu came to work with me every day and even had his own dog house in my restaurant. I do not even want to know how many leftovers he has been secretly given by my customers.

He loved lying in the sun and being near me. But his greatest passion was any kind of poultry. Whether chickens, geese, blackbirds or pigeons, he loved them all.

Unfortunately, after an intervertebral disk operation in the spring of 2018, he did not wake up from anesthesia.
